Spoiling the Devil's Agenda

salvation and power
and the Kingdom of our God,

the one who accuses them

3 Significant Ways to Overcome the Devil:

"And they have defeated him by the blood of the Lamb. . . "

1. They overcame him by the Blood of the Lamb.

" In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood,
and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. "

Hebrews 9:22 (NIV)

" Out of the depths I cry to you, O LORD; O Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy. If you, O LORD, kept a record of sins, O Lord, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness; therefore you are feared. I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I put my hope. 2. They overcame him by their testimony.

Romans 1:16

This is what Isaiah son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem: In the last days the mountain of the LORD's temple will be established as chief among the mountains; it will be raised above the hills, and all nations will stream to it. Many peoples will come and say, "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths." The law will go out from Zion, the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. He will judge between the nations and will settle disputes for many peoples. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore. Come, O house of Jacob, let us walk in the light of the LORD.

Causes of your DOWNfall:

" Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall; "

Deceitfulness - grow tired
Opposing God - weary
Worldly Passions - stumble
Neglecting the Word - fall

If we put our hope in this world:

" but the worries of this life,
the deceitfulness of wealth
and the desires for other things come in
and choke the word, making it unfruitful. "

4. Neglecting the Word - Matthew 23:23

without neglecting the former. "

If we put our Hope in the Lord:

" but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength. "

Hope - Trust -- Expect -- Faith

When God will renew our strength:

1. We will soar on wings like eagles.
-- arise with a renewed spirit
-- Psalm 103:5

" who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. "

2. We will run and not grow weary.
-- continue in serving God
-- serve God wholeheartedly

3. We will walk and not be faint.
-- walk with the Lord
-- become strong in faith
-- 2 Timothy 4:7

" I have fought the good fight,
I have finished the race,
I have kept the faith. "

Summary:

We will soar on wings like eagles;

DON'T GIVE UP!

We will run and not grow weary,
We will walk and not be faint.
